PDC has everything an expat could want, well, almost. There are many things that you will never find in Mexico like canned chili, sausage and many other American foods. But if you want an endless parade of American, Canadian and Europeans streaming by all day just go to 5th Avenue. Miles of shops, high end jewelry stores, restaurants, hand rolled cigars and shops of every description. Rent is high in the "American" areas but cheap in the parts where the locals live. There is always something to do from parasailing, to scuba, to drinking tours, you name it. Playa offers a Walmart and a Sam's Club, ATM's are everywhere but crime is on the rise and criminals are getting more bold. A shooting took place at the Blue Parrot Club during the music festival and many shots were fired.
